Favorite Towns in Hokkaido #2

Takinoue

Today, I’ll introduce Takinoue.

Takinoue is located in the northeastern part.

Takinoue is famous for Japanese Shiba Cherry Blossom Takinoue Park.

Tons of cherry blossoms have grown in this park. This park’s area is 10,000 square meters.

Japanese Shiba Cherry Blossoms Festival is held every Spring. This festival is being held from 5/7~5/31. So unfortunately, we couldn’t visit this festival this year.

Next year, I recommend you to visit Takinoue with your family or friends!!!

Koufuku

One of my favorite towns is Koufuku. Koufuku has the same meaning as happiness. So I believe if people go there, they can be happy!

Koufuku is located in Obihiro, near the airport.

First, you should visit Koufuku Station, since you can buy a ticket to Koufuku.

Next, there is the Koufuku Shrine. Many people visit to pray for their happiness.

My recommended place is Tokachi Milk Cafe Mirune. We can enjoy eating milk gelato. It is so tasty.

If you want to be happier, why don’t you go to Koufuku?

Kamishihoro

Kamishihoro is a town located in eastern Hokkaido. The town has great nature and historical buildings which are related to the Japan National Railways. And also, the town is known for providing a certified center for early childhood education and care using budgets from the hometown tax payment system. Thanks to this tax program, the population of Kamishihoro has increased a little, regardless of an aging society with a low birthrate in Japan.

Now, I will introduce you to some sightseeing spots in Nukabira,  Kamishihoro.

Nukabira

Nukabira is a small hot spring resort area in Kamishihoro. You can enjoy skiing in winter, beautiful nature and some attractions in summer.

When you go to the bridge in the picture above, you should join a nature tour. It is difficult because it is restricted to go there without permission from the local government. But it is a rare scene because the bridge is usually under the dam lake and in the future, it will collapse completely.

After enjoying your activities, why don’t you take a rest in a great hotel? There are different kinds of inns in Nukabira such as a standard hotel, youth hostel, small hotel, cottage and most of these have a hot spring.

This is a picture of the inside of Nakamuraya which is my favorite hotel in Nukabira. I suggest you visit there because the service is great and they have a souvenir shop inside the building.

If you are interested in Nukabira and Kamishihoro, here are the links to the websites. I hope you all enjoy a trip around Nukabira and Kamishihoro.
