Good Spots To See Cherry Blossoms in Hokkaido

Did you see the beautiful cherry blossoms in Hokkaido last spring?

There are a lot of places to see big or beautiful cherry blossoms in Hokkaido so I'd like to introduce you to some of them.

1. Maruyama Park (Sapporo)

Maruyama Park is the most famous spot for cherry blossoms in Sapporo.

There are about 150 trees and 3 kinds of cherry blossom, Someiyosino, Yamazakura, and Ezoyamazakura.

The peak for blooming is the end of April to early of May.

The reason why I recommend it is the location. The park is close to the subway, Maruyama Koen Station so you can go there without driving!

2. Goryokaku Park (Hakodate)

Goryokaku Park is a really popular place for cherry blossoms and it is visited by tourists around Japan every year. There are about 1600 trees. It's also famous for Yo-zakura which means seeing cherry blossoms at night. At night time, Goyokaku Tower and trees are lit up. The view of cherry blossoms with Goryokaku Tower and the lake in the park is really beautiful.

I really recommend these two spots but there are lots of other famous spots like Matsumae Park or Hokkaido Jingu.

These are worth visiting so I recommend you to visit someday!
