Toriton

Do you like sushi? Probably, most people like sushi. Of course, I also like sushi. Today, I’ll introduce a sushi restaurant. The name is “Toriton”. You will want to eat sushi after reading this blog!
As you know, sushi in Hokkaido is so delicious. Toriton is one of the most popular sushi restaurants in Hokkaido. There are 13 stores in Hokkaido and 2 stores in Tokyo. It uses a conveyor to serve sushi (kaiten zushi). But, it’s more expensive than Sushiro and Hamazushi. So, the quality of its sushi is very high.

The most distinctive feature of Toriton’s sushi is that the pieces of fish are so big. The fish is two or three times as big as rice. This sushi is very satisfying.  

  

 

At Toriton, you can eat seafood unique to Hokkaido. You can enjoy various seafood depending on the season. For example, this is Komaikko gunkan. It’s like a tobikko (Flying fish roe). It can only be caught in Hokkaido. It’s sold during winter. Why don’t you try it once?

Next, I will introduce the dishes that I recommend.

First, this is Nikuson roll. Probably, it looks like strange food but it’s delicious. There is cream cheese and cucumber in the rice, and an eel is on it. This is popular with Toriton regulars.

Second, this is “Hanasaki kani soup”. It’s a rare food that you can’t eat much elsewhere. A lot of crabs from Hokkaido are used so it’s very luxurious. When you eat it, it will warm your body. I recommend eating it in winter. It will taste even more delicious.
